Events

We love hosting author events in Bridge Street Books & have been delighted in the past to welcome such celebrities as Derek Landy (Skulduggery Pleasant), Rebecca Miller and Donal Ryan (The Spinning Heart). We have also welcomed The Gruffalo and Maisy Mouse, held a cookery demonstration by Catherine Fulvio & had the children of Wicklow hunt for Wally all over the town.

It is always a pleasure to welcome local authors Emma Hannigan, Melissa Hill & Jackie Burke & more recently Alan Timmons (Here in No Place), Oona Frawley (Flight) and Micheal Delahunty (This is Wicklow) to BSB to launch their books.

Please see below a list of upcoming and exciting events which we will be hosting:

Finish your mid term with some sparkle and a bit of bite with our magical Isadora Moon party!
Half vampire, half fairy, totally unique, Isadora Moon is special because she is different. Her mum is a fairy and her dad is a vampire and Isadora is a bit of both. She loves the night, bats, and the colour black, but she also loves the outdoors, using her magic wand, and the colour pink.
Join us for a storytime, sparkly craft activities and the opportunity to make your own wings or mini books. You could even wear your very best Isadora Moon fancy dress!

Friday 8th January @ 7.30pm (time tbc)

Soon to be a film, 'Harvesting' is the story of 2 teenagers - spiky, quick-witted and sharp Sammy living in Dublin & warm and conscientious Nico from Moldova. When they are thrown together in a Dublin brothel in a horrific twist of fate, a peculiar and important bond is formed . . .

This is a novel about a flourishing but hidden world, thinly concealed beneath a veneer of normality. It’s about the failings of polite society, the cruelty that can exist in apparently homely surroundings, the bluster of youth and the often appalling weakness of adults.

'Harvesting' is heartbreaking and funny, gritty, raw and breathtakingly beautiful.
